Vacation: Part 2

The biggest highlight of our family vacation was taking Audrey to the Milwaukee Zoo.  She took a short nap on the drive to Milwaukee and then was such a trooper throughout the day.  She even walked for quite a while.

Audrey loved seeing all the animals and would try to get as close to the fences as she could.  It definitely helped when someone would lift her higher than her 34 inches!  It was fun to hear her clearly pronounce all the animal names, as she would repeat whatever someone would say to her.

When we came to the farm exhibit, Audrey was initially a little hesitant to go into the petting zoo with the goats.  Once she was in there, though, she absolutely loved feeding the goats.  She became quite enamored with a goat that was behind a fence and snuck a few pieces of food to that one. 

To end our time at the zoo, Audrey had another chance to ride on a carousel.  She was such a pro at it this time and showed her aunts what to do!  There were some tears when she didn't want to get off the ride, so again, we drowned her sorrows in ice cream.  It seems to work like magic!  What a fun day with Audrey at the zoo.
