Matching Girls

To brighten up this yucky winter weather, the girls wore brightly colored matching track suits today. These were a Christmas gift from great-aunt Sandra, and the girls looked adorable! It might be corny, but there is something sweet about dressing these two alike now and then.

Kate's mood has seemed off for a couple of weeks.  We're not sure if it was her cold or some incoming teeth, but it is so good to see her smile back in business!

Bathing Beauties

Sticking both girls in the tub has sped up the bathing process at night.  It also proves to be entertaining, too!  Here is a sequence of events from last week:

Audrey and Kate are both smiling in the tub.

Audrey fills a cup with water.

Audrey dumps water onto Kate's head.

Sweet, tolerant Kate doesn't even cry!  What a girl!

Recital

On Sunday we traveled up to Elkader for a recital performed by Aunt Kirstin and a vocalist friend of hers from Madison.  The girls had fun getting dressed up in dresses, listening to beautiful music, and then enjoying cupcakes after.  I was amazed how well both girls listened to the performance.  Besides Audrey needing to be reminded to use her quiet voice ("Is Kirstin done yet?"), they were both great.  Audrey even danced to a few pieces of music!

They did not cooperate for pictures, however,  After loading up with sugary cupcakes, there wasn't anytime to sit still!

Valentine's Day Fun

The girls had their Valentine's Day party on Wednesday at daycare and had a blast.  There were lots of fun games, delicious treats, beautiful decorations, and exciting goodies.  Audrey and I made popcorn treats for their friends, and she had to give everyone a tube of chapstick as well.  All in all, it was a perfect day.  Here are a few pictures of the girls that morning---

Super Bowl Fun

We had friends over to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday.  Luckily, they just live in town and could brave the terrible weather to make it to our house.  When we lost power in the morning, there were moments of panicking, as we wondered if all our preparations could get done.  As soon as the power came back on, vacuuming commenced!  Since I was busy in the kitchen, Jeremy and two little blonde helpers took over that job completely.

Jeremy was working hard to get rid of all the cat fur!

Soon Kate jumped in with her lawn mower to help vacuum.

Followed by Audrey in her party dress, vacuuming with her popper!

What happy, smiley helpers!

Isn't this picture adorable?  It was during the game as Belle, Audrey, and Jeremy all piled in a chair!
