Cheer Clinic

A couple Saturdays ago, Audrey attended an afternoon cheer clinic led by high school girls.  She enjoyed herself, made us look up the song online to practice at home, and then, last Tuesday, she danced at halftime of a girls varsity basketball game.  She wasn't nervous at all, which was fun to see!  Besides some technical difficulties with the playing of the music, all went very well.  We stayed after to watch the end of the game, and by the time we got home, our little cheerleader and her cheering section were exhausted!

Audrey with a couple of kindergarten friends.  Actually, with the small number of girls in Audrey's grade, this is almost 1/4 of the girls in her grade! :)  She won't have issues finding a date for prom!

This little one will DEFINITELY be out there next year, if they let preschoolers in again.

It was pretty obvious Kate was more excited about the ring pop than the dancing.

Audrey's Writing

Throughout this kindergarten year, Audrey's reading and writing abilities have really grown.  After winter break was over, each kindergarten student wrote about one thing from break.  This is what Audrey wrote:

Not too shabby for doing it completely independently! :)  It's pretty crazy what kindergarten students can do!

JACK!

One of our dreams came true today when we got the chance to hang out with Jack while his mom and dad did some shopping and had lunch.  As always, he was in a great mood, and the girls had a blast entertaining him with their antics.  We got a laugh out of Jack when it was time to have a snack.  We asked if he wanted a snack, and he walked right over to the chair for eating, even though it wasn't attached to anything yet.  He sat down and pulled the tray on his lap.  Apparently, he was hungry!  The girls were excited by the prospect of having a snack on the floor, so all three enjoyed an impromptu picnic.

Thanks for hanging out with us, Jack!  Come back to visit anytime!
