Hiking

One of our favorite summer pastimes is exploring parks and hiking. We tried a new park this week with some friends, and it was such a beautiful day! We had a lot of fun, soaked in some sunshine, and ended the day with delicious ice cream. Isn't that the perfect summer day? Poor Kate, though. Her old lady legs were tired after about 20 minutes!

Sadie is 3!

Happy Birthday to the loudest, craziest, happiest, and least picky eater in our family! How is this crazy girl 3 already? Sadie celebrated with some canned dog food, a long walk spent tugging at her leash, a neat rope for tug of war, and a new collar that will be personalized. She is crazy, but we love you, Sades!

Kate's Alone Time

When Audrey was at her super sleepover, we had some time with just Kate. Once in awhile, it is fun to get the girls one-on-one. We enjoyed a night out with Jade, Grandpa Tom, and great-aunt Nancy. Kate dressed for the occasion and looked like a doll. She seemed to adjust easily to a life just focused on her.  ❤ 

Summer Fun

Audrey had a wonderful summer weekend this past weekend! She was invited by her friend Katelynn to stay overnight at her house, but Audrey also got to visit Katelynn's grandparents' pond for floating, swimming, and FUN! The girls spent hours in the water, and Audrey (who was hesitant at first, of course!) told us she had a blast. I am sure she will want to go back again! 

Swimming Lessons

Once again this year, we fell into a wonderful swimming lesson situation. That is definitely the perk of a small community! The girls are now halfway done with two weeks of lessons at a private home with two high school girls who also are teaching this summer at a local pool. In just one week, Kate has declared she is now totally able to swim! She does look much more comfortable and confident in the water, which is a definite win.

Audrey is gaining strength and fine tuning her strokes, so again, nice progress is being made. We will see how far we get next week!

Rosie is 2!

Two weekends ago, we celebrated sweet Rosie's 2nd birthday. So much of her life has been during the pandemic, so we are looking forward to making up for lost time by much more time together this summer! The cousins had a blast with the playground area, big bubbles, water guns, and, of course, cake. Happy Birthday, Rosie! We love you. 

Cousin Time

This little lady definitely loves taking care of her younger cousins. If only she lived closer, she could provide some pretty cheap babysitting services, until, at least, a diaper needed changing! 😁
