More Hunting

The annual Easter egg hunt up at Geeka and Grandma's took place this Easter weekend, and again, the girls had a great time hunting.  Kate was told to stay near the house, and Audrey was able to venture farther out.  It worked perfectly!  Both girls were happy with their loot, and the fun continued inside the house when the tiny M & M packages kept getting hidden over and over for others to find.

Egg Hunt

With an early Easter this year, our egg hunt was done in winter coats and warm hats.  The cool weather did not dampen the candy spirit, though!  As long as either girl was far away from the Easter Bunny, a very serious candy hunt was able to take place.  There were only about five other kids in Kate's 0-2 category, so she took home quite a haul!  The two girls have "donated" 92 pieces of candy for my class to eat, and we still have about 1/3 left.  :)  It was a fun experience, though, and it all ended with some playtime on the Pirate Ship Playground!

Funny Conversation

On the way home from school/daycare last week, this funny conversation took place in the car:

Audrey:  "I don't know why they are always using the basketball poop, I mean hoop.  Mom, I almost said 'Basketball Poop'."  (She's laughing really hard.)

Kate:  "Oh, bad word, Audi!  Bad word."

Crazy Driver

If you are ever driving near our house, WATCH OUT!  There could be a crazy, curly-haired lady behind the wheel of a small four-wheeler.  Audrey stops and starts very suddenly as she's driving, which is why we had to form the rule that Kate has to be hanging on before the pedal can be pushed. As much as Jeremy would like to blame the driving skills on me, that is not the case.  :)  Audrey is definitely the craziest driver in this family!  I'm sure the four-wheeler will bring a lot of fun and laughter for the girls this summer.

Moments to Remember

Here are a couple parts of our life right now that I don't want to forget...

Audrey has two things I want to remember.  One, her love for Belle right now.  These two are sweet to watch!  Belle will follow Audrey around, and they have even been known to cuddle for awhile.  One perk of having cats in the house is that Audrey has learned at a young age how to be gentle with animals.  Two, Audrey has a favorite song she likes to listen to each day in the car on our way to daycare.  Our mornings start out with "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi.  She loves the guitar parts within the song, so we always start our days off right!

Kate is talking so much more now.  It is just fun to listen to her express herself.  This week she told us "Only boys do dat" when she was almost going to stick food up her nose.  Apparently she has forgotten the rock incident of 2015.  With more talking has brought more drama between our two ladies, but we LOVE that Kate's personality is coming out even more.
