1st Day of School!

August always seems to get me behind on posts, but we will jump ahead to a timely post. We had our first day of school on Friday, and things went well!

Kate started 5th grade, which tugged a bit harder at my heart, knowing this is her last year in elementary! She has a new teacher to our district, and I think she will have a wonderful year. She declared her day great but a bit loud.😊

Audrey started 7th grade, and it went well, too! She was a bit more hesitant to start, as drama with her friends is always on her mind. She met a new girl in her class and made it around to the different classes without getting lost. We will take that as a win!

Lizzie

One of Audrey's summer bucket list items was a sleepover at our house with her cousin Lizzie. Miraculously, we were able to make it work when Kirstin was flying out of CR for a music conference. 

The girls' night was filled with giggles, singing, a little sleep, and lots of fun. We were able to squeeze in AirFX and some Culver's while we were together, so it was a success! These times together are so few and far between, but the girls really appreciate extra time with Lizzie!

Last Vacation Post

Our rental house was near a skiing resort that had a few summer amenities to make it appealing to summer guests as well. We visited the pool once and played a competitive game of water volleyball while squinting in the sun. We also tested out the bungee trampoline, which turned out to be pretty fun for Jack, Aud, and Kate. It took Aud a bit to feel completely comfortable flipping while jumping, but Kate came out flipping right out of the gate.
