Happy Fall!

Right now, we all feel ready for the cooler weather, fewer bugs, and less allergens that fall promises to bring. To celebrate the autumnal equinox on Wednesday, the girls did a little chalk art.

Soccer Game

We spent a beautiful Saturday morning this weekend watching Jack play soccer in Elkader. His team, Bayern Munich, won the game, even though scores weren't kept. Jack knew. We had fun cheering him on and hanging out with sweet Will on the sidelines!

Flames

As is the usual, Audrey set her sights (and tickets) on a prize during the summer reading program. This year it was a fish tank! Week after week, Audrey dropped her tickets in that bucket, and guess what? She won it! Even though the threat was that Jeremy would leave if anymore pets were added, Flames joined our family in mid August. For four weeks, we fed Flames, watched him swim around, and followed the care regimen. Unfortunately, Flames passed away on Friday. A new fish will most likely be joining us soon. Thankfully the girls didn't seem too attached to Flames or devastated by the loss. RIP, Flames.

Relaxation

Sometimes after a long week at school, the weekend calls for a little relaxation...

Rosie's Baptism

A few weekends ago, we traveled up to Oshkosh for the baptism of sweet Rosie.  We always have a great time when we are able to get together with family, and it is especially fun when the visit can include good food, lots of giggles between cousins, a hotel pool, a two-room suite in which we all slept great, and gorgeous weather.

We love you, Rosie!  We were so glad we could be there to celebrate your big day.

First Day!

With the start of school, our lives have quickly grown busy again. We started two weeks ago, and things for the girls are going very well.

Kate loves 2nd grade and her teacher Mrs. Watts. She was SO happy to be in the same class as her best friend, Karlie. Kate has said math is harder in second grade, but that is good. I guess first grade math was too easy.

Audrey loves 4th grade. Her teacher, Mrs. Miles, surprised the class by bringing two guinea pigs into the room, which made Audrey SO excited! She has already done more to care for those two pets than the seven at our home.😁

We are so proud of you girls! We wish you a safe, happy, healthy, and challenging year at school.
