Christmas Pics

Here are a few more pics of Christmas fun we have had over our break so far...

Christmas Concert

One Christmas tradition we were excited to bring back was the yearly Christmas concert at school. Whether or not it was totally appropriate to pack a gym this year was up for debate, but hearing those sweet voices singing was much needed for the soul. Audrey even had a special role in the "hula hoop squad" for her 4th grade portion, and she showed no nerves about hula hooping in front of everyone!

The girls looked beautiful, and the music sounded beautiful. What a fun night!

Christmas Jammies

Oh, what a wonderful Christmas season we have had. The enthusiasm of these two sweet peas fills our house and hearts with joy and the Christmas spirit. I am behind on posts, of course, but here goes...

Our Christmas elves once again found us on Christmas Eve, and this time, we ALL were given Christmas pajamas to wear that night. Kate first discovered the elves when Audrey was out with Jeremy, and she was bursting with excitement while waiting for Aud to return. She ran from the front door to the garage door, watching until Aud got home. The screams and squeals were adorable when they both realized Jeremy would have to wear Christmas pajamas too!

Love these crazy girls!

Ugly Sweater Day

The last 8 days of school before break were different dress up days the girls had fun participating in. One of our favorites was "Ugly Sweater Day." The only problem was that the girls looked too cute...

Kate is 8!

Happy Birthday to our crazy Kate!  I realized after your birthday I really dropped the ball and should have made you a shirt that said "Kate is 8!" to wear to school that day.  Sorry.

Kate has been counting down to her birthday for months and popped out of bed very early Thursday morning with a giant smile on her face.  She had a fun day at school, passed out her requested oatmeal bar birthday snack, and finished the day off with presents and some plain noodles as requested.  Her friend birthday party is coming this week.

We love the smiles, laughter, and craziness this little lady brings us to.  She has such a great sense of humor and quick wit about her.  Sometimes Kate comes dangerously close to the line of getting in trouble at school, and, as of late, has been exchanging sarcastic conversation with her principal at times.  :)  We wouldn't have it any other way, though!

We love you, Kate, and are so proud of the girl you are growing into!  Even though it is hard to see our youngest growing so quickly, you are more and more fun to spend time with each day.  Happy Birthday!

Basketball

Audrey decided to try basketball this year for the first time, and we have been so proud of her! For having to work on fundamentals to learning plays for a game, Audrey has a lot swirling around in her head during each game. She gives it her all, tries her best, and seems to really enjoy being with her friends while learning the game. Seeing her confidence overpower her nerves has been a pretty fun thing. We are so proud of you for trying something new, Aud! We look forward to watching you next season too. Go Pirates!

Audrey's cheerleader COULD have a slight bit more enthusiasm, though. We'll work on it!

Christmas Tree

I am a bit behind on posts! Two weeks ago we put up and decorated the tree. The girls and I gave in and agreed to use the artificial one for ONE YEAR ONLY. It looks fine, and we have some warmer melts in a tree scent to help.

The girls had a blast going through the ornaments and reminiscing about the memories behind them. And, thankfully, Jeremy was still able to lift up both girls for the star on top.😊
