Strawberries and Movie

To cross two items off Kate's summer bucket list, we went to the movie Lilo and Stitch a couple weeks ago. Even Aud conceded to going with us, and she isn't a huge movie fan. The snacks were a draw for her though.🙂

The other item for Kate's list was picking strawberries, which has become a summer tradition. The patch was FULL this year, and people weren't great about following the rules. If you want to get Kate wound up, ask her for a recap of our picking experience. The drama added for fun and laughs, and thankfully, the strawberries were delicious.🍓

Volleyball Camp

Last week the girls attended a four day volleyball camp at Mt. Mercy. It was a bit overwhelming and slightly uncomfortable at first, but the girls had a wonderful growth experience throughout the days. They worked hard on passing, setting, and hitting. They also dabbled in a little serving. Each day ended with a scrimmage that I was able to come and watch. 

We spent our evenings, then, out in the yard playing volleyball. It is fun to see them both so excited and enjoying an activity together!

Elkader

The girls and I spent a couple nights in Elkader last week, which we always love. We were able to catch a couple of Jack's baseball games, eat lunch by the river, shop a bit, golf with Geeka, drive the golf cart and hang out with the Vorwald boys.

Summer is the best for sneaking in extra time with family, and we are already soaking it in!

Color Run

One of our newer end-of-year traditions at school has been a Color Run, with colored powder thrown at us. This year's weather was extremely windy, but thankfully, the powder still stuck. I soaked in another "last" with Kate and even got to walk with her and one of her BFFs, Isla, for awhile. What a fun day!

Isla

We finally made it to meet the girls' newest cousin, Isla, a few weekends ago. What a sweet baby she is! The girls also were able to get some playing in with Lucy. She has the best imagination and always seems to have good plans in place for keeping Aud and Kate occupied.
