A few weeks ago, Audrey and I had a "big girl" day and attended an art class at a local studio. We met up with a college friend and her daughter, and the girls had so much fun making glass picture frames. It is our second time to attend a class at this studio, and we've been impressed both times. After class was done, Audrey and I went out for lunch at Pizza Ranch (her choice!) and did a little shopping. It was a fun day.
Kate got to spend the morning with Dad, and Dad planned for the two of them to take some items from our house to the dump. As Audrey and I were leaving to go to a fun art class, we could hear Kate saying, "But I don't want to go to the dump, Dad!" Poor Kate.
A blog to celebrate the life and times of our two adorable little girls!

Miss Belle and Her "Little" Sister
A love between two sisters that started years ago continued to grow last week as Audrey's kindergarten dream came true. The stars aligned when Jeremy had to take a day off from work to hang with Kate when daycare was closed, and then Audrey was assigned that same day to be her snack/sharing. Audrey's dream to have Belle come as sharing came true!
Jeremy and Kate brought Belle near the end of the day, and miraculously, the almost-ten-year-old cat performed very well with a room full of little people. Belle allowed Audrey to carry her around, so that each child could pet her! It worked out perfectly, and Jeremy said Audrey was absolutely beaming the whole time. Yeah!
It was probably a good thing Mila wasn't invited to go. She's still working on her social skills.

Preschool Lady
On Sunday, March 4th, Kate declared that big changes were coming the next day. She was going to sign up for preschool on Monday, and after that, she was a big girl. She would no longer need anyone to lay on her floor at night, watch cartoons, or hold hands (unless it was to cross the street). Well, on Monday, the icy/snowy weather postponed the registration night until Thursday, so Kate then declared she needed someone on her floor for three more nights. :)
Anyway, on Thursday, a very excited little lady signed up to begin preschool in the fall. She is over-the-top excited and more than ready to join her sister at school. She still has five months to wait, of course, but then, she will be ready to rock preschool!

Recital Costumes
Costumes for the May dance recital were given out this week at class, and boy, are the girls ever excited! Kate says she looks "Just beautiful!" in her dress, and Audrey's costume brought a big smile to her face, too. I got a fashion show at home when they arrived back from dance, and Jeremy was super excited by the amount of glitter that was dropped on the floor. The countdown is on to the recital in two months! :)
| It was crazy sock day at school on Tuesday, so Audrey's socks made complete sense then! :) |
