Sweet Friends

Over the past year we have become friends with a very sweet family in the area. I taught one of their children last year, and now Audrey has babysat the children four times. Anytime spent together is fun, and one summer day we enjoyed a beautiful park for a few hours. Minus Kate experiencing her first-ever bee sting, we had so much fun!

Great-Grandma's 95th

In August, Great-Grandma celebrated her 95th birthday. We were able to go out for lunch with her and got a picture of all the great grandchildren with her.  Plus, Audrey got to eat off Johnson's salad bar, so it was a win-win! She definitely gets her money's worth.

Also, Will wasn't smiling in the original picture, so Audrey swapped put his head from a different one. 🙄 

Pitbull

In July, the girls went to their first concert, as Pitbull was at the Jones County Fair. Audrey especially loves his music, and Kate was on board if Aud was. As we settled into our seats, we were able to watch one of the largest, wildest crowds I have ever seen for a concert at the fair. Feeling overwhelmed by the crowd and a bee, both girls were near tears before the concert even started.

Thankfully, as the opening act got underway, both girls settled. When Pitbull took the stage, it was a party for 90 minutes. Both Audrey and I danced almost the entire time, while Kate was less enthusiastic but still having fun. The girls were exposed to a lot that night, between language, outfit choices, and lots of drinking in the crowd. It might not have been the best parenting choice, but we all had fun together.

Mr. Worldwide definitely did not disappoint!

Trip to Oshkosh

The girls made a trip up to Oshkosh in July with Geeka and Grandma. They were so excited to surprise Lizzie and Rosie, and be in person to celebrate Lizzie's birthday! 

What a wonderful time the girls had! From swimming to soccer and playing at parks, it was great! They also were able to sneak in a little organizing of Lizzie's closet. 😊 If only that organization would transfer to our daily life in their own rooms!

Fun memories with cousins were definitely made this weekend and a love for S'mores Cheesecake!
