General Warts

While watching a commercial for some pill with a never-ending list of possible side effects, Kate turned to her sister and said, "Hey, Audrey! Have you ever had any 'general' warts?" Knowing what was actually said, Jeremy and I had to bite back a laugh! Oh, Kate!

Ice Skating

March has been kind of a rough month for our little family...fevers, pink eye, coughs, etc. We are more than ready to move on to good health and better weather! 

One exciting moment for Aud this month came when she was invited to one of her best friend's birthday parties and was able to go ice skating. She was a little nervous to try something new, but she absolutely loved it. I personally got a big kick out of the pictures of her with the walker!

Spring Break

After 10 days of having someone run a fever or feel under the weather in our house, a beautiful day today to spend at a park and on a hike, was much appreciated. It is our first day of a tinier-than-most spring break, and it was perfect. We shed our coats, got into the sunshine, and immediately felt perkier. Making it through another cold Iowa winter makes us appreciate the spring-like weather even more. We topped off the day by buying our first popsicles of the season!

Art Class

Another sense of normalcy for us came a few weeks ago when the girls and I took an art class at a nearby art studio. It had been almost 2 years since we enrolled, and it was to create glass votive holders. When we got there, we were surprised to see the girls were the only children there. It really didn't matter, though, as the girls were well behaved and well skilled! It went so well, and the results were beautiful. When the day rounded out with a car picnic lunch at McDonald's, it was a great day with my two favorite girls.
