Dance Recital

May is always such a busy month, and Jeremy and I cheer silently as each activity finishes.  In early May, dance wrapped up with recital weekend.  It was a long weekend, especially since the girls were in two separate shows.  Yeow.  Both did wonderfully!  Kate smiled the entire performance and seemed at ease.  Audrey was a bit more nervous, but she seemed comfortable on stage, especially during her jazz song.  We are so proud of both girls for performing on such a big stage, and we are grateful for their supporters who came to watch.  Now, for a break until the fall!  Yeah!

Tea Party

Last week I received an official invitation to a Tea Party with Kate in her preschool room.  It timed out just right for a recess I didn't have duty, so I was able to walk down the hall to enjoy 20 minutes of fun with her.  Seeing her face light up when I walked in was priceless.  She is SO sweet, SO sensitive, and SO funny.  I had fun going through some projects with her, watching her eat a gooey chocolate muffin, and sneaking a few minutes of "just us" time with her.  She is a doll, and I'm lucky to be her mom! :)

T-Ball

Watch out, world!  There is a new t-ball star in town.  A couple weeks ago, Kate started t-ball, and she ABSOLUTELY loves it.  Although she has declared it is "not too fancy", when she's at practice, she listens to her coach, laughs/talks with her friends, and swings that bat as hard at she can.  It is just another reminder our sweet girl is growing up, and we love who she is becoming!  Go Blue Team!

Our sweet big girl is doing softball this year, NOT t-ball, and she is also doing great.  At her first game last week, she had THREE hits without a tee.  Go, Audrey!

Brie

This special lady was Audrey and Kate's favorite prom goer by far.  Audrey and Kate have grown up loving Brie and will be especially sad to lose her as a babysitter when she graduates.  They both declared Brie's dress their favorite, but I think it's really that BRIE was their favorite.  :)
