Fun in the Garage

On a super cold Sunday afternoon a couple weeks ago, Jeremy backed the car out of the garage and turned the heater on.  The girls were able to dust off their bikes and try out their scooters.  It was the perfect way to burn off some pent-up winter energy.  It is amazing to see how much Kate's motor skills have improved over the winter.  She will be a pro on her trike and her scooter this summer!  She'll be able to keep up with the curly-haired blur who is always one step ahead of her.

With snow in the forecast this week, this household is very much ready for spring weather.  We're pulling for that groundhog to avoid his shadow on Tuesday!

More Audrey...

Last night as we were brushing teeth and hair before bed, Audrey looked in the mirror and said, "Oh, great.  I look just terrible.  I look like a man."

We had a opossum staring in our front door tonight, so if you want to hear this dramatic little lady tell a BIG story, ask her about it the next time you see her.  She's convinced now that we're going to have an opossum coming into our house.

Audrey

Audrey is an imaginative, passionate, and creative little girl.  These qualities can bring forth drama, tantrums, and impulsive behavior at times.  Most of the time, though, it makes her one fun lady to be around!  One of the best things to do with Audrey right now is play.  I've been trying more to set aside housework to join in with her, and man, is it fun.  She is extremely funny in what she says and how serious she takes this all!  Her favorites are playing store, restaurant, and in her doll house.  A couple nights ago, she was running a store/restaurant, and here are two funny things she said:

#1:  When I walked in, she said, "Hallelujah, someone's here!"

#2:  When I was ordering at the restaurant, I asked if the coleslaw was good.  Her answer was, "Well, some people like it, some don't.  The problem is it comes in a frozen chunk, so you can't cut it at all.  I guess some people don't like that."

If you're looking for some fun and laughs, ask Audrey to play with you!

Budding Photographer

Audrey loves to take pictures and will go crazy with a camera or phone in her hands.  A couple weeks ago, Jeremy and I were going out for supper with some friends.  Before we left, Audrey was excited to take a few pictures to capture the night!

This picture included her pink dolphin!

This family picture is actually almost centered because Mila is in the background!

Thanks, Audrey!

Visit with Santa

I realized today I hadn't posted about our trip to visit Santa in December.  As with all other experiences we have had with Easter Bunny and Santa visits, it was a disaster.  Both girls were completely frightened by him and look upset in the picture.  They wouldn't even stand by him, so Jeremy and I had to go in and hold them there.

Besides that, the rest of our experience was enjoyable.  The Police Department had put on this event for families, and the girls had fun traveling around to some different games and activities.  By the end, they had forgotten about Santa.  Jeremy and I are wondering if we will even attempt this next year!

Happy Birthday?

Kate's antics at mealtime lately have been quite entertaining.  Most of the time, she gets in trouble in the moment, and we laugh later when she's not around.  Tonight she created her own birthday cake out of her banana and started singing to herself.  Not ever one to be outdone, Audrey showed off a bit too.

Go Hawks!

No matter how the Rose Bowl turned out, our love for the Black and Gold is unwavering.  Two little ladies cheered their hearts out (while playing with toys at the same time), and we learned that Kate knows exactly what the Hawkeye logo looks like.  As soon as I went upstairs to get her out of her crib that day, she looked at my shirt and said, "Hawkeyes!"

"Go Hawkeyes!"

Audrey said she was making her tough football player face in this one.
