Audrey started dance classes two weeks ago, and she has fallen in love! She is in a small class of three, and she stands a full head taller than the other two preschoolers in her class. For half of the class, she wears her ballet shoes, and for the other half, we hear the noise of tiny tap shoes. Once again, we are proud of her courage to try something new, and we are excited to see her grow throughout this school year! Mark your calendars for a recital in May. :) We're sure this will be something to see!
Kate is eagerly waiting for Audrey to share some new dancing techniques at home, but for now, she is just excited to get to play on the Kindle while we wait during dance lessons. It's the only time she gets to each week, so this is big stuff! :) The funny Kate-ism from this week came at supper one night. All of a sudden she said to Audrey and me, "If you have legs, you walk on your legs. If you don't have legs, you walk on your butt." Food for thought!
A blog to celebrate the life and times of our two adorable little girls!

To Our Dad...
Dear Dad,
You've had a busy, stressful, and exhausting past week at work. We have missed seeing you, but we wanted to say we are SO proud of what you are doing to help keep people safe with the rising waters. You're a good role model for us to have! :) Tonight during prayers, Kate even said, "Thank you, God, for Dad!" We love you, Dad!
Love,
Audrey and Kate

Homecoming
It is Homecoming Week this week, and the girls have had fun dressing up each day. Since Audrey's in school, she's been able to see some of the fun costumes. One day was Disney Character vs. Superhero Day, so we opted for some Minnie Mouse. The girls looked adorable and even stood relatively close together for a picture!

Apple Orchard
Last weekend, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and visited a local apple orchard. It was a bit early to pick apples, but it still proved to be a really fun morning! The girls (and Jeremy) took their jobs really seriously, and we came home with some perfect apples, pears, and donuts. This will be one of those outings Jeremy and I will tuck away in our favorite memories!
Ready to go! We've got our water bottles in our koozies.
Kate made a new goat friend, and again, her smile and giggles were contagious.
Audrey and Dad had to use a picker to get those pears waaay at the top of the tree!

New Glasses?
After school/daycare each day, the girls get to veg on the couch for a bit to watch a show. Last week, Kate decided she wasn't seeing the TV as clearly as she needed to, so she tried on a new pair of glasses. I'm not sure if the style is as cute as Audrey's pair!
Kate is sitting on the couch thinking she can't see the TV that well.
Hmmmm, Audrey wears glasses and can see better.
I'll try these! :)

Picnic Fun
We were able to squeeze in another picnic this weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather! We tried out some new play equipment in Manchester, and the girls had a blast. There was some unique pieces of equipment, including an elliptical-like piece. Audrey told Grandma, "At home I can go 160 miles an hour on our elliptical." She was practically a blur today in the park. Even Dad had to try it out! We loved being able to see Baby Jack, as he grows and changes so quickly right now.
It was a fun ending to a great weekend, and we wish we could be able to bottle this weather up to use again in four months!

Kate brought some books on the picnic "Just in case!" It worked perfectly to start Jack's exposure process to Daniel Tiger.

We Have a Preschooler!
On Monday, Audrey officially started preschool, and boy, was she excited! We knew there were some nerves, too, but we were both so proud of how she handled herself. She is in the morning session, so she rides with me to school and a bus takes her to daycare in the afternoon. She has been exhausted at night, but she still has enough energy to share stories with us about her friends, events, and the routines in the room. I have loved catching glimpses of her in her classroom and getting a little wave on her walk back from recess. After her first day, she declared that she was probably the "goodest" kid in her room that day, so hopefully it continues!
