A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated a beautiful week of Homecoming festivities. Minus enough mosquitoes to feel like a horror movie, it was a wonderful week! The girls participated in dress-up days each day, and all was capped off with a parade, pep assembly, and game on Friday. Audrey participated in the cheer clinic again this year, and she had a blast. She danced with more confidence and a big smile on her face. It was fun to see! We even won the football game that night and ended the week on a high note! Seeing the red faces and sweaty hair seems like a distant memory on this cool weekend. :)
A blog to celebrate the life and times of our two adorable little girls!

Shania Twain
Audrey has loved Shania Twain's music for over a year now. We almost took her to a concert in Des Moines this past summer, but tickets were so expensive! It's not quite the same, but Geeka and Grandma had let us know that DISH was playing a concert of Shania's. We recorded it and played it for Audrey last weekend. It ended up being an excellent concert to watch, and Audrey put on an excellent show of dancing. It made Jeremy and me smile so much to see how she was dancing. She knew a lot of the words to the songs, too! What a sweetheart! We keep crossing our fingers Shania will come to the Jones County Fair sometime, but we're not quite sure that will happen. :)

Pizza Fridays
We started a new tradition this school year where we make pizza on Friday nights and watch a family movie together. We have loved it so far, and we love the coziness it ends our week with. Once in awhile, we're even able to talk Dad into a Papa Murphy's pizza instead of making our own. :) This past week, however, we made our own, and Jeremy even got fancy with throwing the crust in the air. Our girls are crazy and so fun when it comes to times like this!

| Kate was a little scared the pizza crust would get dropped, but nope, Dad caught it! |

Our Preschool Girl
As always happens, school starts, and the blog gets behind. Our little preschool gal has survived two weeks of preschool, and as predicted, she absolutely loves it! Her stories are hilarious, and we can tell she is really listening to her teachers. On Thursday I saw her walking in line with her class, but she didn't look at me. I told her after school she should peek in my room when she's walking by to see if she can see me at my desk. Very seriously, she said, "But Mom, my teachers say your eyes need to be straight ahead in line. I can't look for you." We are so excited to watch you grow, try new things, and make some wonderful friends this year, Miss Kate! Another new Pirate has joined the crew! :)
| Charlie was not feeling photogenic on Audrey's first day of school, but apparently, things were different when Kate started. |
