Halloween

Our trick-or-treating date was pushed to November 1st because of a football playoff game. With weather cooperating, it made for a very crowded night in our small town!

The girls both opted to gather candy without their cool mom and dad. Kate traveled around as a yellow M & M with one of her best friends, and Aud traveled in a large group of princesses.

By the end of the night, the girls had a ton of candy, cold toes, warm hearts, and a stomach full of Jack o'Lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's.

Football

The girls had a lot of fun following our football team this fall. Not only did we win more games than we have in recent years, but we also made it far into the playoffs. A new middle school student section was introduced this year, which gave our wacky ladies one year of cheering in the same section. We also enjoyed a fun Homecoming week of dress up days, parades, and a Pirate victory! Some pretty awesome memories were made this fall. Go, Pirates! We are already excited for next season.

Happy 14th, Audrey!

How can it be that Audrey is old enough to get her permit? It seems as if it was just yesterday we spent 45 hours in labor before she arrived.🙂

Audrey, you are growing into a kind-hearted, artistic, animal-loving young woman! Navigating these middle school years isn't always smooth or easy, but we love being by your side.

We hope this year brings you even more confidence, a little less social drama, and a lot of laughter.

We love you, Aud!

Wedding

Nick and Jade's wedding weekend flew by in a blur. The girls loved having a special part of the day, as junior bridesmaids. From hair in the morning, pictures, the ceremony, and dancing the evening away, it was such a fun day for us all. Congratulations, Jade and Nick!

Aud's Knee

Audrey's volleyball season was unfortunately cut short, as she hurt her knee one day in PE. She was jumping sideways to do a warm up and felt a burst of pain. After collapsing down, she visited the nurse at school where swelling was noticed. After a trip to Urgent Care, an x-ray, many weeks on crutches, a much later MRI, and an appointment with an orthopedic doctor, it has been determined Audrey fractured her kneecap and also experienced a sprain.

Now many weeks later, things are healing, and Aud is doing physical therapy. The structure of her kneecap will make her prone to more injuries in the future. We will cross our fingers this can be avoided! It hasn't been the easiest experience for our girl, but she has showed a fairly positive attitude. 😊

Choir Concert

The girls had their first choir concert of the school year in October, and it was a wonderful concert. Since music is a required part of 6th grade, Kate's bigger group had such a sweet sound to it. The junior high choir was also great! As always, the girls appreciated their fans attending the concert...Geeka and Grandma! There are not any pictures of Kate singing, as a much taller girl was right in front of her!
