More Accessories

Once Audrey's toes were painted, she had caught accessorizing fever!  She wore a necklace to daycare this week, modeled another one at home with high heels, and even wore a ponytail.  She is growing up so quickly!  The teenage years will be here before we know it. :)

This is the best picture of her I have gotten in months!  She is smiling with her eyes OPEN!

Toes

We are all slowly adjusting to getting back into our old routine.  Audrey was very tired by the end of the last week, but she was definitely excited to see her friends each day at daycare.  Seeing her wave at me each morning with a huge smile on her face helps me get a great start to my day!  When I picked her up from daycare yesterday, she had a surprise on her toenails.  She now has beautiful blue toes.  Jeremy and I were amazed she would sit still long enough to have her pedicure.  Dana told us that when she blew on Audrey's toes to help them dry, Audrey said, "Hot!"  She was thinking of how we blow on her food to help cool it down.  What a goof!

Lollipops!

Audrey attended a parade in town a couple of weeks ago and was able to gather a pretty decent supply of candy.  It helps when you're extremely cute!  Even though it was tempting for her dad to save it for Halloween to save money, Audrey has been plugging away at a piece of candy a day.  Her favorite, by far, is what she calls a lollipop (sucker).  She asks for one after most meals and is at her quietest while she works on the sucker for five minutes or more.  One day the sucker left quite a mark on her face, so we had to capture a picture of it.

Mama Audrey

When we were back in Monticello last week, Audrey went through some of Aunt Jade's old toys.  She was immediately taken by the triple stroller that she saw.  Since Jade had offered it to us one time, we knew it would be okay for Audrey to take.  She has since become obsessed with pushing babies around in the stroller.  Her first words when she wakes up are "Stroller, stroller."  She pushes the dolls inside and outside the house.  Today it took us thirty-five minutes to walk about three blocks.  I guess a new mom can never be too careful.

Swing Set

Since Audrey is much more active this summer, we decided we needed to get her some play equipment for our backyard.  She has loved her new swing set!  Our first day out there to play, we spent almost 2 hours on the equipment!  The novelty has worn off slightly, but she still really does enjoy swinging.  Underneath the slide area is a little house for her to go into, and each time she does, she starts to make pizza.  I said that the first time we crawled in there, and now she says it every time!  If you are ever in the area, please stop by for one of Audrey's hot (and tiny!) made-from-scratch pizzas.  We know they are tiny because she pinches her thumb and pointer finger together to hand them to her customers.

Audrey had to help tighten everything up to make sure it would stay together!

Vacation: Part 3

For our last full day of vacation, we took Audrey to a children's museum in Sheboygan.  We did not know what to expect, but she had a fabulous time!  It was all very kid-friendly and hands-on, so Audrey really enjoyed interacting with the exhibits.  There were not many children there, so she almost had the museum to herself!  The best part of the entire visit to the museum was seeing Jeremy crawl through a tube made out of ropes to help Audrey play in a tree house.  He was a good sport about it, but it was definitely made for kids!  Here are a few pictures of Audrey's visit:

Audrey fishing for magnetic fish.  With Dad's help, she caught a few!

Audrey had to turn the steering wheel to get a basketball into a hoop.  Once the ball was in the hoop,
it made a bell ring.  She loved this!

She had to turn light switches on to make objects move or lights come on.

Audrey LOVED playing in the grocery store!

Here's the tube of ropes! :)
