Talking in the Tub

Audrey's vocabulary keeps expanding by the week.  She says Dada, Mama, Beh (Belle), Me (Mila), hi, ball, meow, moo, roar, Bee (her friend Brie from daycare), and a few other important words.  I tried to get her to talk about her cats' names in this video, but as always, she wouldn't cooperate as well with the camera on!  The video's cute, so we still thought we'd share.

Little Chef

Audrey loves to be in the kitchen when meals are being made, so we decided to put her to work. She tied on her apron and dug right in.

 

First, she checked to see if muffin tins would be needed for the beef stroganoff.



Even when Audrey was told no about the tins, she was hopeful they could be included somehow. She left them out on the floor, but they were not ever used.

Next, she checked the garbage for another ingredient to add to the meal.

She ended her cooking stint by checking on the status of the vegetable steamer.  It was in the same spot as it had been the last time she checked.  After all this work, Audrey was ready to eat!

She knows when the flash is coming, so she closes her eyes.

Helicopter

 

On Sunday, Audrey was perplexed to find a helicopter flying around her house! Aunt Jade brought her remote-controlled helicopter with her and entertained Audrey and Belle for awhile. It was fun to see Audrey's confusion turn quickly into laughter.

 

Okay, Grandpa Paulsen, I'm not sure what this thing is.

Cold Days

Cold days are perfect for snuggling on the couch with Dad, reading a good book, and occasionally watching an NFL playoff game.  That is, until it's time for busy little people to get up and run around again!

Belle

Audrey has started to role play a little more when she is playing now. She'll feed her babies with bottles, and she will give her babies kisses. Apparently, Belle can also serve as one of Audrey's babies. One day when Belle was on Audrey's rocking chair, Audrey proceeded to put a doll by Belle and offered Belle some milk. Belle was so cooperative we said she deserved some chicken that night!

Happy New Year!

Audrey would like to wish all her blog fans a "Happy New Year!"  She had a great New Year's Eve and rang in the new year at 9:00, before heading to bed.  She gave Mom and Dad a break the next morning and slept in until 8:30.  What a considerate girl!
