Blogging Break...

Audrey is going to take a break from blogging for a few weeks.  Summer is slipping quickly away, so we're going to fill these next few weeks with fun plans.  Check back sometime in August for an update on all her news.  Who knows?  Maybe there will be more teeth, crawling, or other exciting news to report!  Here's a picture to make you smile as you wait.

Happy 4th!

Our little firecracker had a great 4th of July, even if she didn't make it to any fireworks this year.  She loved debuting her festive outfit, Great-Grandma Jan!  We've even worn it again since then.  As you can see, Audrey's personality is getting a little spunkier, as she's started making funny faces when I take her picture.

Even though Dad had to work, Audrey still got to hang out with him a little!

Also, Audrey's furry sisters celebrated their 4th birthday on the 4th.  You can see how they spent most of the day!

Play Dates!

Audrey got together with a few new friends last week to play!  On Friday, she visited Aunt Kirstin's friend Melissa, and her two girls, Alena and Nora.  Audrey had fun putting all their toys in her mouth!  On Saturday, Audrey then spent the afternoon and evening with Aunt Courtney and Uncle Justin, so that Jeremy and I could go to a wedding in Davenport.  They were watching two nieces on Justin's side of the family, so Audrey had two older girls to watch and play with.  From what we heard, she loved their water table!  She is such a social butterfly already.

Wedding Shower

Audrey attended her first wedding shower for my college friend, Lynnette. She wore her first headband for the occasion and felt pretty stylish. As always, Audrey was a great baby and contributed to the conversations going on by doing her fake cough noise periodically. Thanks to great-aunt Lisa for sending Audrey this outfit from Arizona!

Why sit on the floor, when you can...

STAND!  In the past weeks, Audrey has been more interested in standing.  She can now stand against something without us holding her for about a minute!  If she gets distracted or tries to bend down to get something, then she tips over, but her legs are really strong.  It must be the thigh rolls!  She is so much less interested in being on her back on the floor now.  She's too grown up for that! :)
