Caterpillars

One Christmas gift Audrey received from Santa was a butterfly kit. She was so excited and immediately ready to order her caterpillars. It was hard to be patient for warm weather to arrive in Iowa, but she did it!

The five caterpillars were delivered in early May, and they provided us with some much needed fun and education during our weeks at home.

We had to let our beautiful butterflies go last weekend, and I could tell Audrey was sad. She was a good little mother to them!

We saved the supplies, so that we can do it sometime again. So, if you see any butterflies, they could be from Audrey!

Hiking Adventures

The girls and I have had fun exploring some new parks and going on hikes. Even Kate, whose legs weigh a million pounds when she has to walk through a store, gets into our hiking adventures. We may be doing a lot of this during our summer!

Kate's Reading

It has been amazing to watch Kate take off with the reading process. For a girl who was so disinterested in learning her alphabet letters before preschool, she has become such an awesome reader in kindergarten. Tonight she finished her first chapter book! Whoo hoo! Makeovers by Audrey

Apparently, when you are given a makeover by Audrey, it makes you look about ten years older than you really are. Keep that in mind if you're trying to look younger!

Chalk Creations

The girls and I have been using sidewalk chalk like crazy since we have been home. We have done math, played hopscotch, written words, and just drawn. One of our favorite projects was this beautiful heart!
