As the girls get older, certain parts of Christmas change. What doesn't change is the joyful feeling that watching the girls get so excited about traditions brings. They love time with cousins, they are so appreciative and excited about presents, and they are just pretty awesome kids to spend time with.

Without Audrey doing basketball, our December was a little quieter. It was nice to get decorating done and cookies baked and also have a couple more nights at home to enjoy them. Sadly, Jeremy was not able to still lift both girls to put the star on the tree, and, it appears by the picture, Audrey is almost the same height as her dad. Time goes so quickly, so we are sure to enjoy these moments.

To try and beat an upcoming snowstorm, we shopped small on Black Friday in Marion. The girls had fun posing by some of the holiday decorations!
Our sweet, funny, and slightly crazy Kate is now a 12-year-old! She brings so much laughter and joy to our days, and we know how lucky we are to have her in our lives. As a sign Kate is growing up, she did show disappointment in having to wake up and go to school on her birthday, but thankfully, we could end the day with her traditional pasta meal.
We love you, Kate! Keep being your kind, caring, hard-working self. You are an amazing girl.💜
Our trick-or-treating date was pushed to November 1st because of a football playoff game. With weather cooperating, it made for a very crowded night in our small town!
The girls both opted to gather candy without their cool mom and dad. Kate traveled around as a yellow M & M with one of her best friends, and Aud traveled in a large group of princesses.
By the end of the night, the girls had a ton of candy, cold toes, warm hearts, and a stomach full of Jack o'Lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's.
The girls had a lot of fun following our football team this fall. Not only did we win more games than we have in recent years, but we also made it far into the playoffs. A new middle school student section was introduced this year, which gave our wacky ladies one year of cheering in the same section. We also enjoyed a fun Homecoming week of dress up days, parades, and a Pirate victory! Some pretty awesome memories were made this fall. Go, Pirates! We are already excited for next season.
