Phones

Apparently, Audrey is ready for her own phone.  With so much going on at day care, home, and while she's out and about, she loves chatting about her life.  We're sure she is going to be asking for a cell phone for Christmas!
"Call me anytime!"

New Shoes

Audrey got her first pair of "real" shoes last week.  She's had flip flops and soft shoes on, but these Keds felt very interesting to her.  She really had to check things out.

In the end, she realized they helped her get some good traction for crawling.  Yes, her sidling days are done, as she is definitely crawling!

Audrey's nine month post will come soon.  She's been battling a runny nose the past few days, so she wanted to wait for her photo shoot until she was looking her best!

Laughter

Audrey thinks it is pretty funny when she burps.  She usually laughs or smiles when she lets out a big burp.  In this video, I teased her after her burp, and she kept on laughing!

Vacation

For her first official vacation, Audrey traveled to Green Lake, Wisconsin. As you can see, she was excited about being in her carseat! She did a great job traveling during the four-hour trip. She slept until we stopped for lunch, ate lunch, and then slept when we got back in the car. What a good baby!

While on vacation, Audrey enjoyed mini-golfing, driving and riding on a boat, trying new restaurants, and even shopping a little. She was a trooper and in a good mood the whole time, even when her nap schedule was way off! She told us she needed this relaxing break after her stressful summer. :)

Safety is always first when you're on a boat!

"I guess in Wisconsin they let babies drive boats.  Thanks, Uncle Justin, for showing me what to do!"

The wind gave Audrey new volume with her hair.  It almost looks like she's had a perm! :)

She loved her baths in the kitchen sink.

Audrey learned to put her feet up and relax.

What fun we had together!

Busy Girl!

After a break to enjoy the last few weeks of a more relaxed pace, Audrey is back!  During this break, Audrey turned eight months old, popped two more teeth out, tried new foods, went on many stroller rides, swam more in her turtle pool, traveled on her first vacation, and found mischievous ways to entertain herself on the sweltering summer days we have had!  Here is what she's been up to!

For her eight month update, Audrey continues to amaze us daily with how she grows and changes.   Her two new teeth popped through on the top, but not the front two.  It is the two teeth on either side of the front, so she has fangs!  She is also now quickly moving herself around on the floor.  We call it her "sidle" because she gets up on all fours, but then just moves to the side.  I'll have to post a video of her doing it sometime!  She opens cupboards, pulls things off shelves, and is always very innocent-looking when you talk to her.  She also easily pulls herself to standing and walks around the edges of tables, furniture, and her pack 'n play.  If you hold her hands, she'll even walk across the room!  She's such a big girl.

Audrey talks a lot, but all we've recognized is "Dada."  Sometimes we think we hear "ba" for bottle, and she has this high-pitched noise she says for her cats.  She also has continued to love tasting her foods.  We've tried yogurt, cheese, chicken, and turkey, in addition to all her fruits and veggies.  She drinks water out of her sippy cup and will start trying to drink her milk out of the cup soon, too!

Audrey on her eight-month birthday!

"It's so funny it took Mom and Dad almost 50 pictures to find a few where I would cooperate!"

By the end of this long photo shoot, Audrey's furry sisters felt exhausted.
Audrey loves to play peek-a-boo, and when she is in her pack 'n play, she will crouch down and then pop her head up, laughing.  She is such a sweetheart!  It will be a lot harder this year to adjust to the busy school schedule and leave this sweet girl behind.  It's been a very fun summer with her.
"On these hot days, you have to do what you have to do to stay cool."

Vacation pictures will come soon!
