T-Ball

Another successful season of t-ball just concluded.  During the weeks of practices and games, we did see Audrey's confidence grow, which resulted in her being a little more aggressive during the games.  She ran after grounders, swung with more force, and actually seemed to have fun.  We're excited to have her try hitting from a pitch next year, and we'll continue to work on it at home until then.  We're proud of you, #7!  What a slugger you can be!

Art Show

A couple of weeks ago, the school hosted an art show and ice cream social.  Audrey was so excited for weeks to get to show off her art and sing a song to the crowd.  For a girl who gets nervous pretty frequently, for some reason, the idea of singing in front of a crowd wasn't nerve-wracking at all!  We were both so proud of her.  At the end of the performance, she said she couldn't believe that other students forgot certain arm movements while singing.  This girl doesn't forget ANYTHING!

Jade's Prom

Last weekend we traveled downtown to see Aunt Jade all dressed up for her senior prom.  She looked gorgeous, and we were happy to snap a few pictures with her.  Before we know it, we'll have two ladies of our own going to prom! :)

Goofy Girls

If you've spent much time around Audrey and Kate, it's pretty apparent that they are prone to arguing.  However, when they are getting along, it is usually pretty hilarious.

One day a couple of weekends ago, the girls were playing outside while I was getting lunch ready.  For some reason, they decided to trade around clothes.  At first they came in wearing each other's shirt.  They went back out, came in again, and had traded shorts/skirt.  This kept going until they had completely traded clothes, even underwear and shoes.  Those two were laughing so hard throughout this whole thing, and it was fun to hear!

Recital

The girls' dance recital was last weekend, and everything went very well!  After declaring herself the "best dancer in the universe" last week after practice, we knew Kate would be ready! :)  Both girls were very excited, but we could tell Audrey's nerves were also present.  After donning their costumes, our attempts at make-up, and very slicked back hairdos, the girls danced their little hearts out on stage.  We were so proud of how they both danced, and since we were in the late show this year, both girls were very exhausted on the ride home.  We were almost home when Kate sighed heavily and said, "I miss dance already."  What a little ballerina!

I did record the dances, so I will upload those soon.  For now, here are some pictures!

Friends

Last weekend we invited a few of Audrey's friends from school over to play, and the girls had a wonderful time!  We were so happy all the girls were sweet enough to make Kate feel included, too.  Besides a few dramatic moments between the girls, all went well.  We're looking forward to some more play dates this summer when our schedule is more relaxed!
