Snow Day

Our snow piles have slowing been growing with small bursts of snow, and it definitely looks gorgeous outside right now. We took advantage of an unexpected day off last week by spending lots of time outside. The girls tried to make it all the way around the house rolling a giant snow ball. Unfortunately, the heavy, wet snow made that task impossible. Even Sadie tried to help to no avail. Thankfully, Jeremy's Kubota came to the rescue to get it moved up front.

These days of fresh air in the winter are so appreciated!

Dog Treats

As one of Audrey's birthday gifts, she was given a kit to make homemade dog treats. We used it on our surprise snow day this past week, and they turned out pretty well. Sadie is NOT a picky eater (i.e. cat poop), but she seems to enjoy the "hot dogs" Audrey made her.

Cheesy Movie

A couple years ago, the girls and I started a tradition of watching a cheesy movie and eating junky foods one day before Christmas. The girls each get to pick out two snacks at the store, and I get to pick out what movie we watch. This year we did it with a blizzard going on outside, but we felt cozy and warm inside!

Sadie's Best Sister

During our cold snap and blizzard conditions last week, Sadie lived in the basement to stay warm. When she was in her kennel, Audrey decided to keep her company for awhile. I snapped this secret shot....
