Fun at the Fair

This year Audrey was very anxious to attend the Great Jones County Fair in Monticello!  She had heard these are the best five days of summer, so she needed to check it out.  Our first stop in the area was to get Audrey's first four-wheeler ride with her dad.  She was very nervous initially, but she seemed to like it by the end.  Don't worry!  Jeremy drove very slowly.

 

After a yummy lunch and a short nap at Great-Grandpa Bob and Great-Grandma Jan's house, Audrey was off to the fair!  We braved the heat to look at animals, play in corn, eat some fair food, and best of all, try out the rides.  Audrey loved the carousel and the jumpy house.  She was a little sad when it was all done, but the big dish of ice cream she had helped to soothe her sadness.  Thanks to Aunt Jade for going on the rides and in the jumpy house with Audrey!  Audrey had a great time and is already excited for next year.

 

 

FYI: Corn really sticks to sweaty and sunscreen-covered legs!
