Cousin Photos

Sometimes we may pass the time with toddlers in restaurants by using filters as entertainment. The older children don't mind either...

Last Vacation Post: Our Cabin

One of my favorite parts of our vacation was our sweet little cabin. It wasn't fancy and only had one room that was air conditioned, but man, was it the perfect spot for our little family. We ate all our evening meals there and enjoyed the coziness of it all. By far, our favorite part was the beautiful view. Our deck, scene of a few competitive games of UNO, was home to such a breathtaking view. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy, private, and relaxing vacation getaway!

Family Pictures

Our sweet Brie took some family pictures for my side of the family a couple weekends ago, and we were so happy with how they turned out.  For some reason, seeing the girls in pictures makes them appear so much older than how they appear in our daily lives.  Time needs to slow down!

South Dakota: Day 5

Our 5th and final full day in South Dakota was a really busy one! We headed out early to visit Bear Country, and man, was that a cool place! The girls were amazed by all the up-close wildlife, especially a bear who was having a hard time letting any vehicles by! We also really enjoyed seeing the bear cubs in their own enclosure. It was this gift shop where the girls (shockingly! 😉) picked out stuffed animals for souvenirs. Our collection of stuffed animals will never dwindle...

We traveled next to Storybook Island, which was a neat park that had equipment and displays based on popular book characters. The girls had fun running from place to place, but the overall favorite was a teeny tiny train ride they enjoyed!

After lunch, we finished out the day with visiting an indoor glow-in-the-dark mini golf location that also had a maze and gemstone mining outside. We weren't sure how neat this place would be, but it ended up making for a fun afternoon. The girls loved mini golfing, and of course, Geeka won it all! The maze also was fun, and the adults enjoyed watching Aud lead Jack and Kate through the whole thing while we stood above. Their little conversations were precious.

Once again, we had a fabulous day! We were tired but happy while we traveled back to our last night in our little cabin.
