Another Tiny Dancer

Dance started up again last week, and this year, Kate is also participating!  Wow, is this little girl ever excited! :)  Audrey has always enjoyed it at a more moderate level, but Kate is loving it.  When I asked them (jokingly) if they would be okay with skipping dance on Halloween to go trick-or-treating, Kate sweetly asked, "Well, if I skipped Halloween that night, is there another one coming after it?"  She looks like a doll in her leotard and bun, and she promises she is listening to her teacher.  We are already so excited to see what happens in May at that recital.

Audrey didn't go to dance tonight because she is participating in a cheer clinic at school this week.  This is her dressed up today as a teacher.  She actually looks like she could be one, doesn't she? :)

Pajama Day!

After a looong break in the blog, we are back!  Our days of school, work, and daycare have been great, but we are all feeling so busy.  Our evening activities/meetings have started back up, too, so our time at night together is limited.

To catch everyone up, Audrey lost tooth #2 in dramatic fashion, Kate cheers when it's a "hang out" day and moans when she is woken up early, Jeremy is still getting stressed out by work, and the kindergarten kids are bringing me great joy each day at work. :)

It's Homecoming Week at school, and today started off with Pajama Day!  Sadly, though, it was a 90 degree day.  Those poor kids in flannel pajamas at recess were definitely sweaty!

Benefit Day

Back in August, our town once again had "Children's Benefit Day" to benefit a child in the community experiencing higher medical bills.  The parade is definitely the highlight of the day, and this year, our little Audrey was bound and determined to get to ride in a firetruck with her dad and throw candy.  We prepped her for days that it might not work out, but luckily, it did!  She had a blast and was especially thrilled that Kate agreed to share her loot of candy with her.  We've thought and said this a hundred times, but we love the community in which we are raising our girls.  It's days like this that remind of us that!

Kate was a little disappointed to be left out of riding in the truck.  Once the candy started flying, though, her disappointment was quickly forgotten!  Maybe next year, Miss Kate! :)
