Three Day Weekend

With conferences last week, we were able to enjoy an extra day together on Friday.  The three-day weekend left us even more excited for a summer filled with relaxing.  We think Audrey is going to easily adjust to a more relaxed schedule!  Don't you think?

Mischievous Mila snuck out on the deck and enjoyed a few minutes of FREEDOM!

Well-behaved Belle stared out at the escape artist through the screen door.

Four Months!

Three Months
Today our sweet little girl turned four months old.  It is so hard to believe that much time has passed already!  She is growing and changing every day.  Audrey loves to eat, lay on her play mat, go for stroller rides, listen to books, and smile.  We hear laughs every day, practice standing on her strong legs, and finally saw her roll from back to tummy tonight.  She is sleeping for 8-10 hours at night (yeah!) and smiles at us each morning when we go to get her out of her crib.  She is such a good baby!  We don't have her four-month appointment for another week, so we won't be sure of her height and weight until then.  What a beautiful baby!

Swimsuit Body

In case you are worried about whether or not your body is ready for a swimsuit this summer, please note that thigh rolls are back in style!  Audrey is very proud of her rolls!

Stroller Rides

This weather has been perfect for stroller rides!  We have done one almost every day in the past week.  On Friday, Jeremy actually picked up Audrey from day care in her stroller.  Even though we know the weather will cool down again, it makes us look even more forward to summer.  Thanks to Grandma Ihde for the beautiful sun hat!

Weekend of Aunts

Audrey was so excited to get to see two of her aunts this weekend!  Aunt Kirstin came from Madison on Saturday to visit for the afternoon.  Audrey got to take a walk with her.  Aunt Jade came on Sunday to visit, and Audrey loved when Aunt Jade fed her a bottle.

Hats

Since the weather was so warm this week, we were looking to see if Audrey had a sun hat to take to daycare.  While we were looking, I decided to have her try a few on she had received as gifts, just to see if they still fit.
Audrey was concerned about wearing this in the sun, since it's too small.  She knew it wouldn't provide the appropriate protection.

Audrey was sad this one was getting too small, as she had planned to use it with her paper route! :)

Changing Table

Audrey loves to be on her changing table!  It continues to be the place where she is most talkative, especially in the mornings.  If you're ever in the mood for a great story, stop by our house between 6:45 and 7:00 on weekday mornings.  There is usually one being told!

Grabbing

Audrey has really started to reach out and grab objects.  Once an object is grabbed, it usually heads towards her mouth!  It's fun to see her skills develop more and more each week.  We are sure she will be able to feed herself the bottle very soon! :)

Go Hawks!

Even though Audrey is a Panther fan, she also loves the Hawkeyes!  Since her great-grandpa Dittmer played football, basketball, and baseball there, she has to root them on.  She even wore her gear today to help support them in the Big Ten tournament, but it didn't work.  Here is a picture with her Uncle Justin when he came to visit last weekend.

Mirror, Mirror in the air...

Who is the fairest one in there?  Audrey, of course!  She likes what she sees.

Crib!

After weeks of Audrey hitting her legs on the sides and end of the bassinet, she moved into her crib last week.  She looks so tiny in there!  We miss having her in the room with us, but it was time.  Now Jeremy is having fun playing with the high-tech video monitor.  When she woke up early from her nap today, he spoke to her over the intercom and told her to go back to sleep.  For some reason, it didn't work.

In case you've always wondered...

you can fit two cats in an infant feeding chair!

Concert

Audrey traveled back to Elkader this past weekend to support the arts.  Aunt Kirstin was giving a piano recital, and Audrey needed to see how her future piano lessons will pay off!  Audrey wore her fanciest outfit (Thanks, Aunt Lori and Cousin Morgan!) and was enthralled by the piano and violin music.  She only lost her cool when it was time to try and take a picture with Aunt Kirstin.  Maybe next time!
It was quickly discovered how fun it is to suck on the frills!

Sergeant Paulsen

On Tuesday, Sergeant Paulsen showed up to daycare, just in case things got out of hand!  It wasn't Jeremy, though.  Instead, Audrey was sporting her badge and gun belt.  We heard she was pretty intimidating! :)
