Garage: Step Two

On Saturday, a very organized crew came to help knock down and move more trees.  It was a fun process to watch, and we were all amazed how quickly it went.  After watching for awhile, though, all the girls escaped for a little shopping and a lunch out. :)  Here is a picture of the next phase of the garage project.  If you look closely, you can see Dad's new truck in the picture, too!  He's becoming quite the farm boy.

In case anyone was wondering, Kate was WAY too busy on her bike to stop to take a picture.  She said, "No hanks!" when asked if she would be in the picture.

Happy Girls

To say this week has been a long one is an understatement.  Jeremy had a big grant due at work, which was causing him more stress than his usual Jeremy-level, and poor Kate was sick, sick, sick.  From Monday night until this morning, she has run a temperature between 103 and 105 without medicine.  She has been home, resting, for three straight days.  We think we have past the worst, though, just in time for a beautiful spring weekend.  We're keeping fingers crossed for a successful grant submission, a healthy Kate, and a restful weekend.  Here is a picture of our beautiful girls reading to each other last weekend.  If you look closely, Audrey is wearing the latest shade of pizza sauce lipstick!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

We know we make your life crazy, messy, and loud, but at the center of it is our love for YOU!  We hope you have a happy birthday, Dad!  WE LOVE YOU!

A big tree was cut down this weekend at our place.  This marks the first step in Jeremy's big garage process.  There are many more steps to go, but it will be exciting when it's all done!

Play Dough

A favorite past time has returned in popularity in our house---play dough!  The girls have loved playing with play dough over the past week, and it is the perfect entertainment while I am working in the kitchen.  Between the two of them, cookies, cupcakes, and ice cream sundaes have been created regularly.  When it comes time to taste test these items, Kate can often be found actually licking what she has made.  Luckily all play dough is non-toxic! :)  Since we have been having so much fun with this lately, we are looking forward to experimenting this summer while trying different homemade play dough recipes of our own!

Jeremy's favorite part of this whole new fad in our house is the little crumbs of play dough that can be found under the girls' chairs.  It's so worth it to get out the play dough just to see him panic at the mess!!!

Easter Bunnies

It might have taken a bribe of M & Ms, but we actually got an Easter family picture with both our little bunnies staring at the camera with pleasant facial expressions!  YEAH!
