Dancing in the Rain

We took a moment last night to dance in the rain. Our days have been hot and muggy, the air really thick. We had some heavy rain go through last night without any lightning or thunder. The girls took a moment to go out and play. It was a simple moment that bought the two girls so much joy!

Pool Fun

Summer has officially warmed up enough to be perfect for swimming! We have gone swimming twice in the last week with Jack and Will, which equals a lot of fun. We even got to swim with Geeka on Father's Day, which the girls loved.

Strawberries

We took advantage of the cool, cloudy weather on Saturday to visit the strawberry patch. The strawberries were plentiful and have been so delicious plain, in a pie, or on ice cream. Kate wasn't quite as enthusiastic this year about the picking process with the mud in the field and cool weather, but she has eagerly been eating the berries. Aud just loves it all!

Pirate Party

We packed so much fun into our last days of school, and one event was the first-ever Pirate Party. I got to be the head of Yellow Group 1, which was also Kate's group! We got to spend the day together, and it was fun for both of us. I may be a little biased, but I thought she was the cutest in the group.

Last Day of School!

Another school year has wrapped up for the girls. Audrey grew tremendously this year in her organization, work ethic, and attention to instruction. The social part of middle school continued to provide us with drama almost daily, but, in the end, we do appreciate Aud's willingness to share her stories with us. It is hard to believe she will be a 7th grader next year!

Kate had a wonderful 4th grade year. She was initially VERY disappointed with not having a close friend in her class, but as usual, Kate grew closer to other classmates. She also LOVED her teacher, Mrs. Sanborn, and she was sad to have her year with her end.

Both girls will miss friends over the summer, but we are so glad for a slower pace, more time outside, and more time with family. Happy Summer!
