Last weekend, we had to say goodbye to Paprika (the name the girls had given my Acadia). It was especially sad for Kate, knowing the new car would no longer be able to support her addiction to watching DVDs on longer car rides.
It was a bit sad for us all, as Paprika had transported us safely (minus two deer and an unfortunate incident in the Olive Garden parking lot) through eleven years of errands, road trips, vacations, and trips to school. She saw us grow from backwards facing car seats to no car seats.
We welcomed Penelope, or Penny for short, to the family grudgingly. Over the past week, the girls did admit the leather seats are comfy, the wifi capabilities might help the lack of DVDs, and new car smell isn't terrible.
The only family member still depressed about the new car is Sadie. She is currently banned from any trips in Penny until further notice.
