Fair Fun

We survived the hottest week of the summer coinciding with the Great Jones County Fair week. Luckily, the heat broke for Saturday evening and Sunday, which made Sunday the perfect day to take two excited girls to the fair. With wristbands in place, the girls ran from ride to ride, quickly making the bands worth the expense. Audrey found she was too tall for some of her past favorites, so it made her venture to new things. We even squeezed in face painting, Dad's favorite fried donuts, and my favorite kettle corn. We were joined for awhile by Grandpa Tom and Jade, and we made a short stop to see Duh as well. It was a nice little afternoon in Monticello!

I am keeping my fingers crossed next year is much, much cooler but equally dry!

This is the ride Audrey rode with a look of terror when she was 2 years old. Now, it is waaaaay to tame for her.😊

We had to BEG the girls to try this, and initially, they refused. At the end, they both conceded and then wouldn't stop. What goofs!
