Kate at Four Months

Happy Four Months, Kate!  I am a bit late posting this, but Kate wanted to wait until she was feeling better to participate in a photo shoot.

Kate turned four months last week, and each week she gets more and more interactive.  Her big accomplishments during the last month have been reaching for things, grabbing them, and then putting the item directly in her mouth.  She enjoys being on her play mat and reaching for the items that are dangling in front of her.  She also loves reaching for her sister's hair and holding on!  That doesn't go over well with Audrey!

Kate also continues to be such a smiley girl, although she wouldn't cooperate so well for her pictures!  She smiles when anyone talks to her, and it really lights up her whole face.  She laughs now, too, and it's the best sound.  She also loves to talk, and her stories are usually pretty lengthy.

She sleeps really well most nights, going down to bed at 8:30 and is woken up on school days at 6:00.  She has really started moving in bed at night and is usually facing the other direction when I go to get her out of bed.  We continue to struggle with getting decent naps on the weekends, but I am hoping to get in more of a routine as summer gets here.

At her check-up this week, she was given a great report!  She weighs 14 lbs, 15 oz.  That is down a little bit from her appointment when she was diagnosed with RSV.  Her appetite was suppressed for a few days, and she was coughing up quite a bit of stuff.  Her appetite has returned, so she will definitely continue to grow!  She is 25.5 inches long, which means she has grown 4 1/2 inches since she was born.  We all survived her second round of shots!

We often wish we could slow down time, as the girls are growing so quickly!  With time passing, though, we are excited to watch Kate develop into her own little lady.  We love you, Kate!

The only one that Kate truly smiled in had a terrible shadow.  :)

Here's Audrey!
